Horn — replacement
1500 and SUV models
1. Remove the windshield washer reservoir (see Body).
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the horn, then remove the bolt securing the horn to the chassis (see illustration).

3. Detach the horn from its mounting bracket.
4. Installation is the reverse of removal.
2500/3500 models
5. Remove the front bumper/impart bar (see Body).
6. Disconnect the electrical connector.
7. Remove the bolt securing the horn bracket to the frame, then remove the horn assembly.
8. Remove the horn from the bracket.
9. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Horn switch harness replacement
10. Remove the driver’s side airbag (see Steering wheel — removal and installation).
11. Gently release the retaining clips for the switch housings (right and left side).
12. Remove the switch housings.
13. Disconnect the electrical harness from the steering wheel connector, then remove the harness.
14. Installation is the reverse of removal.
