Center console and overhead console — removal and installation
Full center floor console
1. Pry the center console trim panel off with a flat bladed trim tool. Start at a corner and work your way around until all the fasteners have been released. Then, remove the trim panel.
2. Move both seats as far forward as possible. Then, using a flat bladed trim tool pry the rear edge of the side panels loose.
3. The driver’s side panel is snapped in place only in the back section. Slide the side panel rearward to remove it.
4. The passenger side panel is held in place with pressure clips in the rear section and across the top edge. Use a flat bladed trim tool to release the clips, then remove the panel.
5. Remove the two screws securing the center console to the center part of the dash panel. This is located under the upper panel trim you previously removed.
6. Pull back the carpet to expose the four screws securing the back part of the center console to the body. This is located on the rear lower section on each side.
7. Tilt the back of the console toward the dash and disconnect the electrical connectors.
8. Lift the center console and pull toward the rear of the vehicle to remove it.
9. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Half center consoles
Note: The half console (or partial console) doesn’t go all the way up to the dash but ends at the edge of the front seats.
10. Slide the front seats back as far as possible and remove the front bolts (see illustration).

11. Slide the front seats as far forward as possible and remove the rear bolts.
12. Lift the console up far enough to disconnect the electrical connectors and then remove the console.
13. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Overhead console
Front
14. Pry the overhead console center trims off with a flat bladed trim tool (see illustration).

15. Disconnect the electrical connectors (see illustration).

16. Remove the two mounting screws, then pull the overhead console down to release the remaining clips (see illustrations).

17. Disconnect the electrical connectors (see illustration).

18. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Rear
19. If equipped with a DVD player, remove the mounting screws.
20. Pull or pry the console directly down to release its retainers.
21. Unplug the electrical connectors and remove the console.
22. Installation is the reverse of removal.
