Cowl cover — removal and installation

1. Mark the position of both windshield wiper blades on the windshield using tape or a grease pencil. Then remove the cowling rubber gasket by pulling it off of the edge of the cowling grille.

2. Remove the wiper arms and the radio antenna on the right side, if equipped (see Chassis electrical system).

3. Remove the retaining clips at the front of the cowl and the plastic fastener in the center (see illustration).

4. Remove the outer edge of the cowl cover by pulling up and off (see illustration).

5. Lift up on the cowl cover to remove the windshield washer hose and coupler, then detach the cowl grille from the vehicle.

6. Installation is the reverse of removal. Make sure to align the wiper blades with the marks made during removal.
