Mirrors — removal and installation
1. Remove the door trim panel (see Door trim panels — removal and installation).
2. On models with power mirrors, follow the
wiring harness to the electrical connector and disconnect it.
3. Remove the nuts and detach the mirror from the door (see illustration).

Note: Be prepared to hold onto the mirror as you remove the last nut.
4. Installation is the reverse of removal.

5. On mirrors with electronic components, disconnect the electrical connector by first removing the trim around the mirror. Push up on the trim and then away from the window.
6. Remove the setscrew (see illustration).

7. Slide the mirror assembly up and off of the base (see illustrations).

8. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Note: If the support base for the mirror has come off the windshield, it can be reattached with a special mirror adhesive kit that is available at most auto parts stores. Clean the glass and support the base thoroughly. Follow the directions on the adhesive package, allowing the base to bond overnight before attaching the mirror.
