Sunroof — removal and installation
Sunroof shade
1. Remove the headliner (see Headliner — removal and installation).
2. Remove the two screws that secure the stops for the sunroof shade.
3. Pull the sunroof shade rearward to remove.
4. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Sunroof window
5. Open the sunroof to its full vent position.
6. Remove the side curtain trim by pulling in on the lower edge to release the top edge from the track guide.
7. Then pull inward on the top edge and pull the trim out.
8. Locate the four screws that secure the window to the track. Remove the screws.
9. Lift the window out through the top.
10. Transfer the window seal to the replacement glass (if needed).
11. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Sunroof track
12. Remove the headliner (see Headliner — removal and installation).
13. Disconnect the electrical connector to the sun roof motor.
14. Pull the front and back water drain hoses off of the sunroof track assembly.
15. Loosen the 10 screws that secure the sun roof track to the roof.
16. With the assistance of a helper, finish taking out the screws while holding onto the assembly.
17. Carefully lower the sunroof and guide it out of the vehicle.
18. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the sun roof track screws to 80 in lbs. (9 Nm).
