Transmission Range (TR) switch — replacement
1. Drain the automatic transmission fluid and remove the fluid filter (see Tune-up and routine maintenance).
2. Slide out the connector lock, then unplug the TR switch connector (see illustration).

3. Remove the TR switch mounting bolts and detach the switch from the valve body (see illustration).

4. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Tighten the mounting bolts to the torque listed in this Chapter’s Specifications. Make sure the connector lock engages securely.
5. Replace the transmission fluid filter and install the fluid pan, then refill the transmission with the proper fluid (see Tune-up and routine maintenance).
