Transfer case lubricant level check
1. The transfer case lubricant level is checked by removing the upper plug located at the rear of the case (see illustration).
21.1 The drain plug (A) and fill plug (B) are on the rear of the transfer case
2. After removing the plug, reach inside the hole with your finger. The lubricant level should be just at the bottom of the hole. If not, add the appropriate lubricant through the opening.
